The Oakridge Eagles, hosted the North Muskegon Norsemen on Tuesday night in a WMC contest. Both team came in with identical WMC records of 3-0-1, tied atop the WMC regular season standings. The Eagles got on the board in the 16th minute when Christoffer Simonsen scored off an assist from Bryce Kartes. The Norse tied the game in the 38th minute, and we were tied at halftime. With a second half filled with excitement and physical play, neither team could take the lead. The Norsemen were awarded a penalty kick late in the game, and had an excellent opportunity to take the lead. However, Eagle goalie, Jason Cerka read the shooter well and made a great save to keep the score tied. That is how the game ended. The Eagles are now 5-1-3 on the season and 3-0-2 in West Michigan Conference play. They play next at Muskegon on Thursday the 27th at 5:00.
