The Oakridge Eagles boys soccer team, traveled north to play the Hart Pirates in a West Michigan Conference contest, on Thursday evening. Cristoffer Simonsen, continued his hot streak, and got the Eagles on the board in the 8th minute, off an assist from Hunter Behnke.
Then just 6 minutes later Cameron Weaver added an unassisted goal on a great shot into the side netting, from outside the 18. The Pirates cut the lead in half about halfway through the first half. The score stayed Oakridge 2 and Hart 1 until halftime. The Eagles came out quick in the 2nd half and Simonsen made it a two goal lead again just two minutes in the second half with the assist going to Dylan Lucas. Brandon Jones and Jason Cerka each played a half in net and each saved 3 shots to preserve the victory for the Eagles.
Oakridge now stands at 4-0-2 overall and 2-0-1 in West Michigan Conference play. They next play at Ravenna on Tuesday the 18th at 5:00.
