At the Division 2 regional in Gaylord, the Oakridge Eagles defeated the Sault Ste Marie Blue Devils 6-4 in the semi-final. The Eagles led 2-0 going into the top of the sixth when the Blue Devils scored four runs to take the lead. Oakridge rallied in the bottom of the sixth when Jaxon Fri and Kolbe Stewart led off the inning with back to back doubles. Stewart drove in Fri to bring the Eagles to within one run. Austin Fairchild drew a walk and TJ Ruel sacrificed Stewart and Fairchild to second and third. The Blue Devils were able to get a pop out keeping the runners in check but a line drive by Blake Masterman plated both Eagle runners with two outs and gave the lead back to Oakridge. Masterman also scored in the bottom of the sixth making the score 6-4. Koleman Wall came in to shut the door in the seventh to preserve the win for the Eagles.
Wall got the win as well as contributed 3 hits in the Eagle offensive attack. Fri ended the game 3 for 3 with 2 runs scored. Fairchild and Masterman had 2 RBI each.
Drew Larson went 2 for 4 for the Blue Devils, drove in a run and scored a run.
