The Lady Eagles won an overtime thriller over the Shelby Tigers on Tuesday night. Shelby scored early on a transition goal. The Eagles battled spending most of the game in the Shelby end and were not able to score until senior Lanessa Meyers put a PK into the back of the net with just under 5 minutes left in the game. Sending the game into overtime. The first OT was scoreless and the Eagles scored with just over a minute left in the second OT when junior Bri Betz put the ball in the back of the net off an Andi Cartwright corner kick.
The shots on goal numbers for the game gave the Eagle a 14-1 advantage moving their overall record to 4-1 and 3-0 in the West Michigan Conference. The Eagle next travel to Fruitport for a non-conference game on Friday at 6:45.
